China Unveils Map Claiming Indian Territories; Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar Deems it Absurd

India’s Foreign Minister, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, has strongly criticized China for releasing a map that includes Indian territories as part of its own. The map, which was unveiled recently, shows regions like Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin as part of China’s territory, even though these areas have historically been considered part of India.

Jaishankar expressed his disbelief at China’s actions, calling their claims absurd and against the usual rules that countries follow. He emphasized that China’s attempts to assert control over these Indian territories are not helpful and won’t lead to any positive outcome for China.

This move by China goes against the agreements that both India and China have made in the past. It also adds to the tension between the two countries and makes it harder to talk and work together. Jaishankar urged China to stick to the agreements they have already made and find peaceful ways to solve any differences they have.

The regions in question, Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin, have been disputed areas between India and China for a long time. India believes that these regions rightfully belong to them because of historical, geographical, and legal reasons.

The international community has noticed China’s repeated attempts to claim territories that are disputed, which has raised concerns about China’s behavior on the global stage.

While the world continues to change, India is committed to solving problems through talking and understanding. Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s strong words against China’s claims show that India is determined to protect its land while also working with other countries based on mutual respect and established rules.
